Questions
Is there a free plan or trial?
No. But test keys are free: they run the whole API with no real message and no charge, so you can build first and top up when you’re ready.
Do longer messages cost more?
No, because they aren’t sent. A message holds one SMS: up to 160 characters, or 70 with emoji or scripts outside the GSM alphabet. Longer text is refused and costs nothing.
Do verification codes cost extra?
No. A code is one SMS at the same price, and checking a code is free.
What happens when my balance runs out?
New messages are refused with a clear error until you top up. Messages already accepted were paid for when you sent them.
Can I receive replies?
No. TextRail is outgoing only. See the API docs for everything it does.
